To mark the completion of the commissioning of Rio Tinto’s Kitimat Modernization Project, Hyphen was hired to produce a 120-page commemorative book and companion video, to celebrate the milestones and key achievements of this major project. To maximize production efficiencies, location video shooting was combined with interviewing and photography, resulting in a large creative ‘pool’ of content to draw from. The resulting narrative was delivered in the form of an oral history, with everyone from senior project managers, community leaders, First Nations, and former employees sharing their personal anecdotes and insights. Archival photos and artifacts, along with a wide range of photography from across the entire project, brought their words to life and ensured that the KMP story will be remembered and shared for years to come.
